what is the Microsoft MVP award?

The Microsoft MVP Award is an annual award that recognizes exceptional technology community leaders worldwide for their technical expertise, leadership, speaking experience, online influence, and commitment to solving real-world problems.

David Laster’s journey to becoming a Microsoft MVP

For over a decade, we have watched David demonstrate exceptional community leadership and a true passion for sharing knowledge with the Microsoft community.

Through panel sessions and speaking engagements at industry-leading conferences like Community Summit North America and DynamicsCon, David has delivered over 25 educational sessions for Microsoft Dynamics GP, Power BI, and Dynamics 365 Business Central user groups. His expertise and thought leadership have earned him many recognitions, including Community Summit Legend and Dynamics Communities BC/NAV All-Star.

David has spent much of his career learning and innovating Microsoft Dynamics GP. But since the launch of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, he has worked diligently to absorb knowledge about the product and provide insights where it has the most impact for the Microsoft community. In fact, he even spearheaded the development of GraVoc’s custom Bullhorn One connector for Dynamics 365 Business Central to fill a gap in the market for an automated financial data management solution for staffing firms.

Ultimately, David moved forward with applying to the Microsoft MVP program. He received encouragement and support from many current MVPs – a testament to his longtime participation and deep involvement in the Microsoft Dynamics community.

a word from David Laster on this recognition:

“I love working with Microsoft Dynamics and all the reporting that goes along with it. My passion has continued to grow especially deep since the release of Dynamics 365 Business Central. The amazing opportunity Dynamics GP customers have to migrate to this modern cloud-based ERP from Microsoft is clearly something I am sinking my teeth into. I’ve been blessed to be an active participant at many levels within the Dynamics communities for so many years, and the backing and incredible support GraVoc has provided me. This helps me do more, reach further, and dream big.

Having this MVP recognition come after so many years of dedication is an amazing feeling. I am really looking forward to being an active participant and working with the Business Central product team to continue making the product achieve the best functionality and reporting capabilities possible!”

what this recognition means for GraVoc’s clients

Now, as by joining the Microsoft MVP program, David will get opportunities to participate in speaking engagements and technical content development. He will also receive early access to technology through Microsoft programs, helping David, GraVoc, and our clients stay on the cutting edge of the industry.

This Microsoft MVP recognition is a major achievement that does not come easy, and we are so proud of David! With David earning the Microsoft MVP title, our clients will now gain direct access to top-tier expertise and industry insights.
