The Challenge
Manual reconciliation was holding them back
The customer’s monthly bank reconciliation was time-consuming and error prone. Each statement contained roughly 250 transactions, and manual matching took over eight hours every month. This slowed financial reporting, delayed decision-making, and left room for human error. The repetitive task also pulled valuable resources away from strategic initiatives, making efficiency and accuracy a top priority.
The Solution
When smart tools replace manual effort
To address these challenges, we developed a custom bank import format that allowed the customer to import bank statements directly into their reconciliation system. We then utilized Dynamics 365 Business Central’s internal automatic matching process combined with Copilot’s advanced matching capabilities. These tools worked together to automate the majority of the reconciliation process.
