How COVID-19 is Shaping the Future of Cybersecurity

During our Security Awareness During COVID-19 webinar, Nate Gravel and Brian Brunelle from our Information Security team discussed how COVID-19 is shaping the future of Cybersecurity, the changing threat landscape and how corporate culture is adapting. You can check out the clip below!

With many organizations being forced into remote operations due to the pandemic, Nate explains how there needs to be a different approach in how businesses handle risk and risk appetite. Since COVID-19, we have seen a huge spike is cyberthreats and hacks. Nate discusses the importance of updating risk profiles to try and preserve continuity of operations to respond to the pandemic. Nate also discusses the importance of security awareness training and testing of employees. This is imperative in order to keep employees informed of new and current threats as they are happening. 

Brian Brunelle, who is the director of risk management and audit here at GraVoc, talks about how he has been seeing all sorts of needs from our customers in regards to remaining secure.  Customers have been inquiring about using certain legacy hardware/systems versus progressing into newer hardware and most importantly what is needed in order to promote remote working capabilities and what to do to stay on track and remain secure.
