We’re excited to share that the Boston Business Journal recently featured GraVoc and our longtime partnership with Northeast Arc in their Partners with a Purpose editorial. Seeing our work together highlighted in such a respected publication was a proud moment for all of us!

People with disabilities often navigate systems that weren’t built for them, limiting their access to resources and opportunities. For over a decade, GraVoc has partnered with Northeast Arc to help close these gaps through strategic advisory, technology consulting, and funding support.

Through the Gravel Family Charitable Foundation, we helped fund the Gravel Family Community Strategy Lab at Northeast Arc’s Center for Linking Lives – a space for job training, coaching, and essential technology introductions. In the article, Northeast Arc’s President and CEO, Jo Ann Simons, shared the impact of the lab, noting, “It provides us with the physical space to be able to do training and also provides us with the ability to provide a really important introduction to technology — to (help) people who will be able to do their jobs easier, introduce them to new job opportunities, to practice interview skills.”

Partners with a Purpose

Our team has also partnered with Northeast Arc on key technology initiatives, including building the eCommunity Connections website, a resource hub that makes it easier for individuals and families to find support for healthcare, mental health, employment, events, and more. And the partnership goes both ways: we proudly use Northeast Arc’s Heritage Shredding services, supporting meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Working with Northeast Arc energizes our team and the work inspires us to further deepen our relationship. In 2024, our President, Nathaniel C. Gravel joined Northeast Arc’s Board of Directors, bringing his cybersecurity expertise to help navigate risk management. His service on Northeast Arc’s Board keeps us closely connected to their mission and future direction.

At GraVoc, we believe in using our expertise not only to fuel our business, but to make a difference and support our community partners. As Jo Ann Simons, succinctly put it, “I’d like to encourage more partnerships between the nonprofit community and the for-profit community, because the expertise that the for-profit community sometimes can afford is exactly the expertise that the nonprofit community seeks.” We couldn’t agree more!

Our team looks forward to supporting Northeast Arc as they continue rolling out innovative programs that help their community members thrive.
