Employee Spotlight: Meet James Jarvis, App Developer & AWS Expert

My name is James Jarvis, and I am a Lead Full Stack Developer at GraVoc. In this role, I primarily develop web, cloud, and mobile applications for a diverse portfolio of industries –  everything from insurance to health care. I work with many industry-leading technologies and coding languages, including TypeScript, React, Python, Golang, AWS, and Azure.

I enjoy the diversity of the projects we get to work on, and that each day is different. I also like the small, close-knit, team-oriented work environment at GraVoc!

The Actionable Findings application for Radloop!

When radiologists interpret the results of an imaging test, they might mention some incidental findings. The Radloop application processes the text of these reports using an LP engine and identifies if a follow-up visit is necessary. The application helps the patients get better health care and the hospital gets some extra revenue. We have seen this process save a couple people’s lives who have found issues early and gotten them checked out.

It’s a good feeling knowing that you’ve worked on a system that is actively saving people’s lives. We are hoping to continue scaling the system so we can see more positive outcomes like this.

Spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy exploring and testing new technologies before bringing them into production environments.
