As a Senior Solutions Architect at GraVoc, Sarah Gardner is focused on executing seamless Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations and working closely with clients to ensure they’re getting the most out of their new ERP solutions. Our clients say she is a keeper, and we could not agree more! Check out our employee spotlight video and Q&A below to learn more about Sarah and her work as a Solutions Architect at GraVoc!

Tell us a little bit about yourself & what you do at GraVoc:

My name is Sarah Gardner, I’m from Kentucky. At GraVoc, I am a Senior Solutions Architect. In this role, I work primarily with our Dynamics 365 Business Central clients throughout their entire project lifecycle.

I help with data gathering, data configuration, user training, and the go live. But, our relationship does not end there. After launch, we continue to support the client and make sure everything is running seamlessly. And, if clients want to continue adding to their solutions, we can provide additional services.

What drew you to pursue a career in technology?

I graduated in business administration with a minor in marketing and ended up in accounting. I quickly realized that accounting was not for me, so I pivoted to a different side of accounting – building ERP systems and connecting software to make data flow seamlessly. I wanted to work with a team, and here at GraVoc, we work closely so we can collaborate and design solutions for our clients. That is something that kept me here and drove me to continue this career.

What do you enjoy the most about working for GraVoc?

I am a fully remote employee, but I never feel that way. Our team collaborates so much that I feel like I am working with people every day. I don’t feel like I am thousand miles away. I really do feel like it’s a family atmosphere here at GraVoc, and I feel that in Kentucky all the way from Massachusetts! It’s just a happy place to be!

Favorite projects you’ve worked on so far?

Micro-Ram! We have a really good relationship with them. Recently, they had a smooth go-live for their solution that involved an integration with CRM as well, so I got to see the ins and outs of how these two systems connect. Another favorite project was Launch TWS. They are on Business Central, and they utilize our Bullhorn One connector. They are amazing clients to work with and we have a great ongoing relationship with them.

Where are we likely to find you outside of work?

Probably walking my dog! I have a 4-year-old Labrador-Golden Retriever mix, so lots of energy. I also coach basketball, I’ve been a middle school girls basketball coach for 3 to 4 years now. I love seeing the joy that the girls have when they accomplish some of the smaller things that a lot of people overlook.

But, I will take a break from coaching this year because we are expecting a baby boy in November! So, outside of work, I’m going to be busy with that.

Since you coach basketball, tell us, who is your favorite basketball player and why?

Currently, my favorite player is Caitlin Clark who plays at Iowa. She has completely taken over college basketball and has brought so much attention to the women’s game which is so often overlooked. Her work on and off the court is setting the example of what the game should be and making it so fun to watch!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to people who want to pursue a career in technology?

Technology is such a broad field, so you can do a lot of different things. My advice would be to follow your curiosity. If you like technology, I think you can definitely find the perfect spot for you if you follow your interests.
