Redesigning Breakaway’s Website

Our team created a fully responsive and mobile-friendly website using custom WordPress design templates that matched Breakaway’s vibrant and bold branding. The website included a customer-driven interface that allowed site visitors to easily navigate to relevant webpages with information about Breakaway’s dining options, events, and other services.

Breakaway was conceptualized as a venue where customers could have a good time and make memories, so our team used bold images and videos to deliver a visual-first website design that would give site visitors a powerful feel of the venue’s fun and exciting energy. The website’s homepage, for instance, featured dynamic and engaging video content of live performances at Breakaway along with information on the venue’s diverse offerings. The homepage also featured a sliding banner with photos and embedded YouTube videos of bands set to perform at the venue. To drive conversions and user engagement, our team also added strategic call-to-action buttons throughout the homepage, encouraging site visitors to purchase event tickets, explore all the featured bands, and learn more about Breakaway’s menus, function facilities, and events.

Our team developed an intuitive information architecture across the website with a dedicated content hub for each of Breakaway’s three primary services – events, dining, and functions.

The website’s ‘Events’ section was designed to highlight the featured bands at Breakaway and provide more information on other curated events. Our team created a searchable events calendar that allowed users to browse upcoming events at the venue. Users could also filter their search according to event type, click on each event for more detailed information, and add relevant events to their Google Calendar or iCalendar.

Our team also implemented online event ticketing features on the website so potential customers could seamlessly move forward with a purchase once they identified an event of interest. We configured our trusted eCommerce platform and other API integrations to incorporate key eCommerce functionality on the website, such as cart, checkout, and payment processing. On every individual event webpage, customers could easily add a desired number of tickets to their cart and start the checkout process. Customers could then complete their order by simply entering their billing and payment information. By adding the event calendar and eCommerce features to the website, our team provided Breakaway with an end-to-end ticketing platform to help manage and drive event ticket sales.

Besides live performances, Breakaway also offers function halls, an outdoor patio, and a music hall that customers can reserve for their own events. Our team developed custom, user-friendly contact forms that allowed site visitors to easily connect with Breakaway to host or book an event. The ‘Host Your Event’ webpage also offered a visually engaging overview of the various events that can be held at the venue along with an interactive photo gallery.

Along with showcasing Breakaway’s live music events, our team also put the venue’s dining options front and center on the website. We created a dedicated webpage for each of Breakaway’s menus – from breakfast and brunch to deluxe buffet – so customers could easily browse the venue’s many food options. To support business generated through online food ordering, our team added an accessible ‘Order Online’ button to the website’s navigation bar. We also included a ‘View Upcoming Events’ call-to-action button on every menu webpage to ultimately nudge customers to purchase a table at Breakaway and explore both its live events and casual dining options.

Our team also developed a custom, user-friendly contact form that allowed site visitors to connect with Breakaway for more information on their services or any event-related assistance. Further, our team also included a prominent email signup form across the website to support Breakaway’s email marketing efforts and help grow its subscriber base.

We are thrilled with the final look and feel of Breakaway’s new website! Our website solution, backed by the WordPress CMS, allowed Breakaway to take ownership of the site once it was launched and manage the content. The new website delivers a powerful, user-driven experience and helps put Breakaway’s venue in front of a larger audience. Today, we continue to support Breakaway through our WordPress Maintenance Plan. We look forward to working with Breakaway on future creative projects!
