GraVoc Charitable Foundation members met with representatives of the Lyon-Waugh Auto Group to present them with a $10,000 contribution to the 2022 Bluefin Blowout.  The Bluefin Blowout, benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association, is New England’s premier Giant Bluefin Tuna Tournament and is hosted by Cape Ann’s Marina Resort in the historic fishing port of Gloucester, Massachusetts.  This spectacular event was ranked #2 nationally by the Alzheimer’s Association which is a testament to the hard work and support of everyone involved.

Governor Charlie Baker and former Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken of Gloucester previously commended the Lyon-Waugh Auto Group and sponsors, captains, exhibitors, and guests of the Bluefin Blowout for focusing their fundraising efforts on fighting this terrible disease and raising community awareness.  After a two-year hiatus, this premier Tournament will return on July 26-28, 2022, and draw some of the best giant tuna fishermen on the east coast celebrating the fishery of the magnificent bluefin tuna in true tournament fashion as the best of the best battle these giants of the ocean.  This year’s event will begin with the Bluefin Bash Fundraiser on Wednesday, July 13th under the tent at the Cape Ann’s Marina Resort.

David Gravel, a Director of the GraVoc Charitable Foundation, stated “We are thrilled to support this wonderful community program which supports the Alzheimer’s Association.  This is a disease that has personally affected the GraVoc Family, and we are deeply committed to the Alzheimer’s Association as a trusted resource for reliable information, education, referral, and support to millions of people affected by the disease.”

Community programs like the Bluefin Blowout provide an opportunity to give back and build connections that strengthen the community at large. Both the Lyon-Waugh Auto Group and the GraVoc Charitable Foundation, Inc. encourage the creation of community programs/partnerships that build strong, well-organized relationships.
