As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to run its course, nonprofits everywhere have been finding new and creative ways to keep their events and funding alive despite social distancing roadblocks. For those who live in the Peabody and North Shore area of Massachusetts, Citizens Inn is a household name that you are most likely familiar with. This great organization works toward ending homelessness and hunger across the North Shore by providing services and programs such as Haven from Hunger, Citizens Inn Transition, Citizens Inn Homes and more.
Every year, Citizens Inn holds an annual gala to help support their programs. This year will be a little bit different however due to COVID-19. This year, Citizens Inn has decided to host their annual gala online as a creative virtual event in order to keep their supporters and staff safe . As they go virtual, Citizens Inn has asked our team at GraVoc to help provide technology and web development services for the event and we couldn’t be more excited to assist!
The virtual gala is called “A Day of Heroes” and will be supporting the impactful work being done at Citizens Inn of helping families and individuals experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity. The event will be held on August 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Our team has been hard at work developing the design and implementation of how the event will be run. While Citizens Inn are only taking pre-registrants at the moment, we have officially launched the splash page for the gala and are in the process of building a donation, online auction and live streaming platform for the event.
This event will feature live entertainment, exclusive tours, client profiles, cooking demonstrations, children’s music, story time, and much more. There will also be many raffles that include safe and fun vacation experiences. This is one virtual event that you won’t want to miss!
Make sure to visit the event website for a full schedule as the event nears!
