In April 2019, we were contacted by Wendy Pearson who is the program coordinator for the North Shore Community College Adult Learning IET Information Technology Program. Wendy was looking for representatives from within the IT field who could participate in an Employer Panel hosted by the MassHire North Shore Career Center. Our director of IT services, Steve Rizzo, joined Mike Sperling, founder and director of Sperling Interactive, on the panel and helped students learn what knowledge and skills employers in the IT field are looking for when they interview and hire new IT personnel.
On May 23rd, 2019, we invited the students and faculty from the program for a site visit to our office. The students were given a tour of our office and how we operate on a day-to-day basis. Steve showed the students our server room, computer lab and other aspects of our office. Steve then spoke to the class on how to prepare for future job interviews or internships and what skills they should have if they are seeking a career in the Information Technology field!
