This past Saturday, the YMCA of Metro North hosted their Where in the World event. The event is part of their annual fundraiser which raises money for children and families within our communities who cannot afford to attend the YMCA. This year, GraVoc was the platinum sponsor for the event. We teamed up with employees from the YMCA of Metro North to create an event experience unlike any other.  The event was a total success, raising over $120,000. The money will be used throughout the different branches of the YMCA of Metro North. Below is a highlight of some of the different services that GraVoc provided to the YMCA of Metro North for their Where in the World event.

Website Development

The theme of this years fundraiser was ‘Where in the World’ which centered around the idea of ‘If you could have dinner anywhere in the world, where would you go?’. As part of this theme, our Creative Technology team created a raffle website where one lucky winner would actually win a dinner trip for 2 anywhere in the world. Users selected a donation value and received entries into the raffle. The winner of the raffle was drawn live at the event through our randomized raffle selector and was updated on the website that night.

Event Marketing

Working together with the YMCA of Metro North’s marketing team, we created an event image that reflected the travel theme but also represented the YMCA’s core branding. Utilizing both digital and print mediums, we used our Where in the World branding assets on all marketing materials including billboards, email blasts, invitations, sponsorship forms, Keynote presentations and more. Below is an example of some of the different event marketing materials created by GraVoc and used throughout the weeks leading up to the event and at the event itself. Our marketing team also created the program booklet.

Video Production

Below are some of the videos that we created for the event. The first video created was a general PSA to spread awareness about the event. This PSA was played throughout the different branches of the YMCA of Metro North and included closed captions. The second video we created was specifically fit for Facebook by taking advantage of the square landscape that the platform provides. This video was shared on the Facebook pages of the different branches within the Metro North. The third video was played during the event as a visual for people to see where their donation money was going.

Digital Signage

Along with the PSA, Facebook video, and event video we also created video graphics for the different lobby screens at the Y during the event. Some of these graphics included a ‘Departure Screen’ which listed out the timeline of the night for guests as well as a sponsor recognition video loop that was played throughout the night to thank the sponsors.

Throughout the lobby and gymnasium, we utilized 3 vertical LED panels. One panel was placed in the front of the YMCA and displayed a ‘Check-In’ sign for guests. The second screen was placed in the hallway leading to the gymnasium with a ‘Departure Screen’ that displayed the event program as well as a ‘Now Boarding’ sign that directed guests into the gym. The third screen was placed in the gymnasium and displayed a sponsor recognition loop.
