Recently, GraVoc attended the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School (PVMHS) Career Day and the Lynn Vocational Technical Institute Career Fair, where our team engaged with high school students and shared insights about careers in technology. At the PVMHS annual Career Day, – organized by the Peabody Education Foundation – students can interact with local businesses to learn more about different trades and career paths. Similarly, the Lynn Vocational Technical Institute Career Fair – organized by MassHire North Shore Career Center – also allows students to connect with employers for future opportunities.
GraVoc has been a regular attendee of the PVMHS Career Day and Lynn Vocational Technical Institute Career Fair. We believe these events are important because they allow students to meet community leaders, ask questions, and explore many career options to find one that aligns with their interests. Through conversations with businesses like ours, students may also discover new career paths that they previously did not consider. As these students prepare for their future outside of school, these career fairs can help them choose the right vocation!
At both the PVMHS 2023 Career Day and Lynn Vocational Technical Institute Career Fair, our team enjoyed chatting with students about what it takes to pursue a career in technology. We talked to the students about cybersecurity, graphic design, application development, and other opportunities in the technology space. Our team also shared informational resources and guidance with students on how best to prepare for careers in technology.
Thank you to the PVMHS and the MassHire North Shore Career Center for having us! We are so happy to have had the opportunity to interact with future leaders of our community and technology industry!
