The North Shore Technology Council will be hosting a September breakfast where Dr. Walter Robb, a 42-year veteran of General Electric (GE) will discuss how taking reasonable risks has accounted for all of his successes, including in start-ups, large corporations, laboratories, and non-profits.
Dr. Walter Robb reported directly to Jack Welch, worked his way up the ladder from bench engineer to senior vice president – growing GE’s Medical Systems division to a $1 billion worldwide operation and successfully changing the company’s entire funding strategy for its research and development division. Robb is also the author of a new book titled “Taking Risks – Getting Ahead in Business and Life.”
