We are excited to share that Nate Gravel, Vice President of Information Security and IT, and Mike Kannan, Director of IT Assurance and Security Research, will once again be presenting at BankWorld – Northeast’s premier banking event – on Friday, January 14th at the Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Connecticut. Along with presenting, GraVoc is also a proud sponsor of the event!
BankWorld – hosted by the American Business Media, Connecticut Bankers Association, and Rhode Island Bankers Association – is the Northeast’s largest and most exciting banking show that features educational sessions, interactive panels, and cutting-edge exhibits, including product showcases, designed to give attendees a competitive edge.
Nate and Mike’s seminar titled ‘Hiring A Friendly Adversary: The Importance of Adversary Simulation Exercises’ is scheduled for 10:30am on Friday. Many organizations today perform some level of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing on an annual basis to fulfill compliance requirements and understand their potential exposure to cyberattacks. However, security strategy for most organizations surrounding this type of testing has yet to take the next step. During this session, Nate and Mike will provide an in-depth overview of adversary simulation testing, which involves exercises designed to emulate attacks on an organization to help evaluate the quality of existing security controls and assess vulnerabilities. Nate and Mike will also give attendees a run-through of adversary simulation tactics such as ransomware simulation and red team, blue team, and purple team exercises.
