Reimagining the Burns Landscape & Snow Management Website

Burns Landscape and Snow Management is a family-owned, full-service landscaping company based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. With over 15 years of experience, the company delivers top-quality landscaping, masonry, and snow removal services. The company’s old website, however, was not optimized for search, and its thin content was not doing a great job of communicating the scope of their services and expertise. So, the company approached GraVoc to redesign the Burns Landscape and Snow Management website with the goal of making it more visually engaging and SEO friendly.

To get the lay of the land, our team began this project by performing extensive keyword and competitor research. This helped us create a comprehensive content strategy for the website. From here, we restructured the sitemap, breaking out the services into two categories – commercial and residential – for improved search visibility and user exploration on the website. Our team also provided Burns Landscape and Snow Management with detailed content templates to help them create more informational service webpages.

Once we had the SEO strategy in place, our team focused on the design for the company’s new, mobile-friendly WordPress website. The homepage is now more visually engaging with a bold and vibrant sliding image banner. We also sprinkled more images and background patterns across the homepage to refresh its look and feel, adding more depth and color to the page. On the homepage, users can also learn more about the company’s services. Our team also added a social media plugin to create a ‘scrolling feed’ of the company’s Instagram posts, allowing for deeper user engagement.

Next, we built out the service webpages. The website’s new service webpages for landscaping, masonry, and snow removal are browsable, full of helpful content for potential customers, and search friendly. These informational service webpages convey the full breadth of what Burns Landscape and Snow Management offers its residential and commercial customers. The page layout of every service webpage seamlessly balances detailed text with illustrations, images, and green accents. These webpages seamlessly accommodate and present the website’s in-depth content in a way that does not overwhelm visitors.

In addition to the service webpages, we also created an ‘About’ section with information about the Burns Landscape and Snow Management leadership. The page includes a headshot and bio of the company’s founder and co-founder. We also added a ‘Testimonials’ webpage with quote blocks that showcase customer appreciation of the company’s work. This further helps establish the company’s trustworthiness and credibility. In the ‘About’ section, our team also created an ‘Employment’ webpage with an easy-to-use application form that prospective crew members can fill out to join the Burns Landscape and Snow Management team.

Finally, our team designed a user-friendly contact form that site visitors can use to inquire about a service or request an estimate.
