Founded in 1989, Life Sciences Pennsylvania is a statewide trade association that has grown to represent the entire life sciences industry in the commonwealth, including medical device companies, investment organizations, and research institutions. With the goal of positioning Pennsylvania as a global life sciences leader, the organization provides members with public policy clout and networking opportunities.
As an established organization with over 800 members, Life Sciences PA needed to modernize their website to make the design more professional and enhance the user experience. So, the organization approached GraVoc about a website redesign.
Our experienced WordPress web designers revamped the Life Sciences PA website, making the large volume of content easier to explore. Along with website design, our team also developed a CRM integration with GrowthZone, Life Sciences PA’s association management platform. With this integration, the organization can collect and manage new leads and memberships more seamlessly. Among many things, the new Life Sciences PA website is a resource hub, delivering information on state and federal policy priorities for the life sciences community, networking events for members and non-members, and more, to help their members advance.
Our goal was to make this content easy to discover and browse. To begin, we reimagined the homepage, adding a dynamic video banner and snippets of the organization’s membership benefits, news and events, member directory, and podcasts. A vibrant teal and orange color palette gives the website a professional yet inviting tone. And, a tiered main menu makes it easier for users to discover and engage with content on the organization’s membership, advocacy, events, podcast, and other resources.
Through detailed webpages, the ‘Membership’ section offers site visitors a deeper look at Life Sciences PA’s membership benefits and levels. Here, site visitors can also find the organization’s membership application or fill out a simple membership inquiry form to learn more. The organization’s large active member directory is neatly organized by industry. The directory’s powerful search feature allows users to seamlessly find and connect with LSPA members.
Life Sciences PA holds over 40 events throughout the year, providing members with networking opportunities to build partnerships, get involved in advocacy, and more. So, we needed to create a dedicated space on the website for Life Sciences PA to showcase and promote these events.
We started by designing a highly visual and interactive events calendar with search/filter functionality. Users can click on any event on the calendar for more detailed information and the registration link. We also created an ‘Events Overview’ webpage where users can learn more about all of Life Sciences PA’s signature events. This section also includes a simple, quick form that members can use to submit their own events.
