Our team designed a visually appealing and informational website for Peabody’s St. John’s the Baptist School. Since 1892, St. John’s the Baptist School has been providing students with a quality Catholic education by promoting and encouraging life-long learners and leaders within our community. The website was developed to promote the school’s mission and programs as well as provide parents of existing and new students with a one-stop digital resource hub.
A well-designed and easy-to-navigate site was key to helping St. John the Baptist School stand out and make a positive impression on parents of prospective and current students. Our team revamped the website to deliver a bright and user-friendly design that was consistent with the school’s new logo, branding and overall energy. Moreover, we used WordPress to build a responsive website framework that would work uniformly for parents across browsers and mobile devices.
To engage parents as soon as they land on the website, we designed a bright and eye-catching homepage with strategic calls to action that encouraged users to start an application, support the school’s mission, request information, check upcoming events, and schedule a tour. We also designed an interactive homepage banner featuring vibrant images of students engaged in different activities and included call-to-action buttons guiding parents to relevant pages on the site.
Our team worked with St. John the Baptist School to design a dedicated ‘Academics’ section to make information on the school’s curriculum, Extended Day Program, Playgroup Program, and extracurricular activities readily available to parents online. Webpages focused on the curriculum provided parents with important information on the topics covered with quick access to the school’s online application and handbook. The Extended Day Program webpage included downloadable PDFs with the monthly program schedule and an extended day emergency fact sheet. Similarly, the Playgroup Program webpage featured an expandable list of dates and themes for each session with a downloadable application form.
To streamline the admissions process and make it easier for parents to complete enrollment, our team created an ‘Admissions’ webpage with important links to information on the school’s programs, links to the school’s online application portal and inquiry form, access to the tuition schedule, and an application checklist. Our team also added a ‘Schedule a Tour’ form to the website, allowing parents to quickly request a tour of the school through the site.
Another key focus of the website redesign was to build an accessible and convenient resource hub for parents of both current and new students. To achieve this goal, our team designed a ‘Parents’ section that included links to the school’s parent portal, online tuition payment system, downloadable health forms, and access to other important forms. This section also featured a webpage with details on the school’s uniforms, including downloadable information sheets and a gym uniform ordering form.
Moreover, to facilitate seamless communication between parents and teachers, our team designed a ‘Faculty & Staff’ webpage with the name, position, and email of the school’s pastor, principal, and other staff.
The website’s easy-to-use donation form was another critical component designed to help gather support for the school’s mission and advancement. Users could simply enter their contact information and donation amount, choose between a one-time or monthly donation, and provide their credit card details to submit their donation to the school.
Further, to help alumni connect with the school, our team included a user-friendly form on the website for former students looking to either visit or have their reunion at the school. Our team also added a general contact form to the website so users could reach out to the school directly with any questions or comments. We set up email notifications to alert the school’s staff of new form submissions to make it easy for them to track this information.
For website tracking, we implemented Google Analytics to provide the school with a simple and straightforward solution to track user engagement metrics and overall website performance. Today, our team continues to support St. John the Baptist School through cloud-based web hosting services. We are proud to have collaborated with St. John the Baptist School to help them redevelop their website and look forward to helping them with future creative projects!
