The Healthy Peabody Collaborative (HPC) was formed in March 2008 under Mayor Michael J. Bonfanti. The goal of the HPC is to address substance abuse issues in the City of Peabody. Members work to reduce underage substance use in the City of Peabody while creating a healthier community for all who live, work and play in Peabody.
The HPC conducts an Asset building activity in which they ask students to think about what they would need in their “life pack” to be the best they can be in life. One March 6th, 2018 GraVoc’s Dan Vassallo participated in an assembly at the Carroll School where they awarded the recipients of the Positive & Healthy Living Essay contest and the “What makes a good friend?” bookmark contest. Dan, who is also an active member of the Peabody Rotary Club, participated with the reading of the essays and recognized students today at the Carroll school.
