For the third year in a row, GraVoc’s Vice President Cathy Gravel participated in the Susan G. Komen Boston 3-Day for the Cure, a 60-mile walk aimed at raising awareness and money for breast cancer research. Cathy and her Flip Flop Friends teammates, Terri Garafano, Karen Braz, Jeannie Hallinan, and Gina Rocha, gathered over $11,500 in donations through fundraising activities in the past year. This year’s walk began Friday morning but was halted midday amid concerns about the high temperatures and the safety of participants. Unfazed, the Flip Flop Friends resumed their walk on Saturday morning and finished in high spirits on Sunday afternoon. We are extremely proud of Cathy for her accomplishments and her efforts towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Congratulations to the Flip Flop Friends on another successful walk!
