On January 24th, 2020, GraVoc’s Jade Brewer was asked to present at the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce Breakfast forum! The breakfast highlighted Montserrat College and why the MFA is now the new MBA. President of Montserrat College, Kurt T. Steinberg, Ed.D, discussed how art school graduates are making huge strides within today’s business community and why hiring creative thinkers is beneficial for businesses. Kurt also mentioned how art students learn in their studies that experimenting and critique provided by others are vital components to growing professionally.
Jade talked about her life at Montserrat College of Art. She discussed how her thesis program helped her to develop skills that she uses everyday at GraVoc, such as;
- Working with & creating project proposals
- Developing concepts
- Technical photography skills
- Collaboration with clients & superiors for project development
Jade has been employed with GraVoc since 2017 and is currently a Media Producer and Drone Pilot within our Creative Technology practice. The skills and knowledge that she brings to our team is truly unmatched and provides us with new perspectives. Montserrat College of Art prepared Jade for the work at GraVoc as she was able to combine her creativity with technology.
