What are your company’s plans for enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation in the year ahead? Panorama Consulting recently released a blog post with their top ten predictions for the ERP industry in 2013. According to Panorama, large-scale ERP implementations may not as popular as in previous years, but niche systems and business process reengineering are predicted to become a focus for many businesses.
Even if full-scale ERP implementation is not on your radar this year, you may be looking to have your systems communicate with one another rather than storing data in silos. GraVoc has always believed in helping our customers make the most of their information systems to effectively store and communicate data. We will continue to develop custom solutions to address integration issues and allow customers to see high returns on their investment in an ERP system.
Panorama also predicts that businesses will continue to adopt mobile and business intelligence solutions in 2013, and that tools to assist with decision making and provide the right information to company executives will be as important as, if not more important than, a newer or more robust ERP system. Earlier this year, GraVoc partnered with Jet Reports, a business intelligence solution for Microsoft Dynamics GP, and we plan to continue with similar initiatives in the coming year.
Despite Panorama’s prediction that more organizations will decline large ERP implementation projects, it seems clear that most companies will be looking to maximize on existing systems and other business processes. We plan to continue providing customized solutions to enhance our clients’ systems and allow them to run their businesses efficiently.
