The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a 12 month program that teaches middle through high school kids how to start and manage their very own business. The YEA! program seeks out business professionals throughout the year in order for the students to receive the professional knowledge that they need in order for their business to succeed. The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce contacted GraVoc Associates looking for volunteers for Graphic Designers and Website Developers to help assist with their students business needs. We hopped right on board and throughout the program we were able to help 4 out of the 6 students in their marketing needs. As part of the program, the students presented their business ideas in front of an ‘Investor Panel’ who then chose which students idea to fund. This concept mimics the TV show ‘Shark Tank’ and truly gives the students an idea of how real world business works.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy offers students the chance to:

Develop the skills necessary to launch their own business or social movement

Become more confident in their ideas and their abilities

Learn about real businesses - why they succeed or fail.

Hear from local entrepreneurs

With the student at the control of the project, GraVoc worked with them to help make their business into a reality. Throughout the program, we assisted with website development, logo design, business card design, PowerPoint design and Business Plan design. Below is some artwork and pictures that was created by GraVoc with the students:
